Diya of the Darkness

Summary (The stuff that is usually written on the back of books)

“Absolutely Pointless waste of paper” - Literary Review, The Hindu

“I guess the story is good” - Some blogger

The Center:

College educated girl brought up by city settled parents. The parents heart and soul still at the village. The girl at Chennai. Raja Annamalai Puram.

Hopefully waiting for marriage. Grappling for a vent to breath. A breath that comes in the form of the internet and a lending library.

The Library:

She walks in at least twice a week, 2 books in tow. She follows a trail of suggested books hand written on the back of a book, ” If you liked this book, you will also like…”. One day, a suggested book is not found. Desperate to find the person who scribbles the suggestions, Ramya goes on a journey that she believes will redeem her.

Note from the Author.

For the amount of pirated movies and songs I have listened to, i have decided not to approach a publisher to put this story on print. (Some confidence for a beginner eh?)

The Background

A definite number of years ago, a fleeting dream materialised at Bangalore. This is its final shape. Every week on Saturday night and Sunday morning, this story of the normal girl under normal circumstances shall unfurl. If someone questions me the genre, i am at a loss. You as the reader make me humble. First post begins on the 28th of August 2011.

Looking forward for a fun ride with Diya.

Sekki.
